Sportswriter ethics study

This story was posted on the sj.com board. It's an AP story about a Penn State University researcher who looked into sports journalists' ethics and found them lacking. Some sj-ists had a problem with drawing national conclusions based on the region surveyed. I admit to being bit dismayed that 39 percent of editors reached thought coverage should "boost the home team."

Well, the other extreme is the Boston Globe, where the writers often seem to hate the home teams.
